Creativity is now seen as the engine of the new global city. Creativity arises in absence of the mundane and is never something we can practice or learn. It requires space and freedom to generate creativity. Jack Welch: “We know where most of the creativity, the innovation, the stuff that drives productivity lies - in the minds of those closest to the work.” Creative work is a piece of work which need not to be edited because a work which is perfect may not necessarily be a piece of work which exudes creativity as it is no longer a creative piece of work. We must not let restrictions imposed by others get in our way in being creative. In view of this, I have to agree that freedom is a key instrument in ensuring creativity to take place fully.
